CPU (Central Processing unit)
The CPU (Central Processing Unit) is a chip that slots into the motherboard. The CPU processes the pixels onto the monitor. Known as the brains of the computer, the CPU interprets and carries out most instructions from the hardware and software. There can be more than one CPU in a computer.
Not all CPUs have pins as seen in the picture. The pins are easily bent so it is advised to be careful when handling.
